A nyone who knows me understands that I am a reader. I love pulling knowledge from the pages of a good book. Reading an entrepreneur’s book is like getting a private lesson with a great business teacher.

There are tons of great books out there written by entrepreneurs, but I thought I’d help cut through some of the clutter and make a few suggestions for my readers who are or hope to be, entrepreneurs themselves. I’m recommending five of the best books for entrepreneurs, but I’d love to hear your suggestions for what I should add to my library. And of course, I hope you’ve read—and enjoyed!—my very own book, Believe in More.

1. Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell

Gladwell has made a career of thinking about stuff in ways nobody else would. His work is usually rich with academic studies, but he writes in a way that any audience can understand.

Blink is a book that investigates how we think and how we make decisions, especially those choices we make “in the blink of an eye.”

This book will leave you reconsidering everything you thought about your decision-making processes and how you come to the conclusions you do. When it comes to books for entrepreneurs, this is one of the best.

2. Why Didn’t Anybody Tell Me This Sh*t Before? Wit and Wisdom from Women in Business by Marcella Allison

Allison is a successful copywriter and entrepreneur, and in her book, she compiles letters and stories from women who run their own businesses.

This is a book for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs, told in perfectly digestible pieces that will leave you laughing, crying, and learning.

3. Pitch Anything: An Innovative Method for Presenting, Persuading, and Winning the Deal by Oren Klaff

Klaff is the master of raising money and getting the attention of the right people who can bring his ideas to life. In his book, Klaff discusses his formula for delivering the perfect pitch.

If you’re looking to start a new endeavor or hoping to expand something you’re working on now, Klaff’s strategies will help you get your ideas together and ready for that big presentation.

4. Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg

This classic book started a movement, and it’s just as relevant today as it was when it was published in 2013.

Sandberg draws from her successful business experience to advocate for women business leaders everywhere.

5. The Lean Startup: How Today’s Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses by Eric Ries

Most new companies fail. Ries offers suggestions to help your company succeed against the odds.

The key to success, Ries writes, is to continuously monitor your processes and goals to ensure that your energy is going where it needs to go.

Hopefully, each of those books for entrepreneurs contains something you can use. Remember, I’d love to hear your feedback and suggestions. Drop me a line, and get reading!
