Social media is a great way to stay in touch with friends, develop a business, and learn from people who are willing to share their insights.

Of course, social media has its downsides, but if you use it correctly, it can become a useful tool for personal and professional development. This is especially true for entrepreneurs.

Below are some of my suggestions for people entrepreneurs should follow on Twitter, one of my preferred social media spaces. If you have some additional suggestions, I’d love to hear them (and you can respond via social media, of course!).

Total Life Changes Headquarters

@TLCHQ

Yes, you should follow my company! The @TLCHQ account is the perfect place for all your breaking Total Life Changes news.

We offer backstage glimpses into the working of TLC, link to important announcements about contests, and generally try to support our customers and Life Changers wherever they are.

Stormy Wellington

@coachstormy

Is there a better example of success than Stormy Wellington? I don’t think so! Stormy is one of TLC’s greatest partners, but she’s way more than that. A self-made woman who shares the secrets of her success, hardly a day goes by that I don’t learn from her, and I’m always grateful she’s a part of the TLC family.

Ted Nuyten

@TedNuyten

As CEO of Business for Home, Ted is a giant in the MLM industry.

His Twitter feed and website offer powerful truths about what it takes to be a successful small business owner. I love to visit his website to see how TLC Life Changers rank on his Top Earners lists.

Direct Selling Association

@DSAssn

If your business involves direct sales, you should be following the Direct Sales Association. They closely monitor the industry and report on trends and important events within the Direct Sales / MLM sector.

If you’re in a different business, the DSA is still worth a follow. It’s important to see how other sectors find success. You may have a chance to adapt some of their strategies.

Gary Vaynerchuk

@garyvee

What can’t Gary do? And what doesn’t he have his hands in?

It’s hard to say, really, because he’s everywhere, being successful in each endeavor.

Entrepreneurs looking for ideas, inspiration, or a smile would do well to check in on Gary regularly. He watches trends for opportunities and shares what he finds.

Tony Robbins

@TonyRobbins

It seems I can hardly write a post without mentioning Tony Robbins somehow. He certainly belongs on this list.

Whether you’re looking to make a change, trying to build on past successes, or making a different life for yourself, Tony Robbins has the wisdom to share.

That applies to entrepreneurs, and everyone else.

Hopefully, my suggestions for who entrepreneurs should follow on Twitter are helpful to you. There always seems to be someone new to follow, someone with a fantastic insight I find valuable.

Don’t forget: no amount of social media feed scrolling will replace hard work and reaching for your dreams with both hands. You’ve got to put the time in where time is valuable.

But the occasional cat video won’t do any harm.
